Brindley is the co-founder of HS Connect, and she has lived with hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) for 30 years, since she was 11 years old. She did not tell many people about her HS until she underwent wide excision surgery and wanted to share her life-changing experience with others. This marked the beginning of her advocacy journey.
