Had several problems over years with what I was told was staphylococcus. I assumed that’s what this was. I was wrong and it’s been miserable.
Many guys here.
I was recently diagnosed last year but realize I have had flare ups for a few years. We just always thought they were ingrown hairs in my groin/pantyline. Currently in the midst of one and I’m miserable. I’m lucky b/c mine aren’t that bad, but I’m terrified of what they could become.
Also I love my Rheumatologist .....

I am stage 1, i had a lump that was mistakenly diagnosed as a sebaceous cyst surgically removed last year (he then diagnosed me with HS). It healed slowly and when I finally saw a dermatologist she said I should never have had surgery, I should have been referred to dermatology. I have developed a small under the skin lump since then right near the same area. You can barely see it , it doesn’t emit fluid, but i get bouts of it being sore.

NOPE. Don't count on that.
Same as Ashley. Very few flaireups since on Humira. The flairs are actually the old ones acting up.
Side effect now is extremely dry skin.
I’ve had HS for 25 years, diagnosis for 10 years, stage 3.
Thank you so much, Ashley. I’ll take a closer look!
Thank you Heather! I pray that things get better for you soon.
