I only have one small area that’s broken out with moderate HS. Can and how does this spread to other areas on the body?

In particular, the unpleasant odor causes absences and when present, the odor is causing a disruption for other students and teachers in the classrooms. Its such a hard situation for everyone and I just want to find something that will help my student both academically and socially.

Does anyone notice itching as your hair grows? Anywhere on your body? HS is related to sooo many other issues. I have terrible eczema and, breakouts on my scalp and, my body as my hair grows!

Today my doctor prescribed methotrexate. I am also on remicade at the highest dose every 4 weeks with no improvement. I am also on metformin 1000 mg a day. I haven’t saw much of a change. My doctors prescribed methotrexate to add to my medicines. I am worried about side effects as well as fertility in the future. I am not planning to have kids now but in the future I would love too. I am 22 and would like to keep all options open. If anyone has any facts/opinions please let me know

My question for you is ? What is the worst part of your HS . I know the answer is all of it but what is the one. The pain, scars,mental stress, or the smell? I have always used gauze and bandages and tried to ignore the pain. It has worked, I think I am able to deal with pain after ignoring it for years. I REFUSE to let HS run my life!

Have you used any good products to help reduce swelling or to try and keep flare ups at bay?
I actually read that here about sudocrem yesterday ran out and got some germolene had a relatively good sleep compared to usual with pain under arms
