Has Anyone Here Had Their Vitamin D3 Levels Tested?
A myHSteam Member asked a question 💭

I had my first instance in my underarms in 2016 and had surgery to remove. I had my Vitamin D levels tested then and they were in the "severe deficiency" range. I've been taking supplements ever since to get my levels up but haven't been so consistent lately with it. My next flare up happened a few months ago during the Covid lock down (under a lot of work stress) kind of in the groin area but seemed to clear up quite quickly once I started taking my Vitamin D3 everyday again. Has anyone else… read more

Could You Share Any Dietary Changes And Tips That Have Helped With HS?
A myHSteam Member asked a question 💭
A myHSteam Member

I am in remission because I'm on keto, no sugar, no carbs (potatoes, pasta, rices and breads).....really it's all about sugar....carbs turn into sugar when your body is processing them

Instant Relief.
A myHSteam Member asked a question 💭

I have been hearing about the Castor Oil, I got some.. this one specifically.. and it did give me instant relief. On open wounds, and inflammation, itself. Picture attached. Found on Amazon!

There are a lot of different things you can use to get them to a head and bust, is that what it did for you? Does it help any other way, I'm always looking for new ideas.

A myHSteam Member asked a question 💭

I have heard many say their discharge is smelly. Mine is odorless in both areas. I swear this thing is the devil.

A myHSteam Member

No need for the sweat bands now. The Aloe Vera Oil has stopped the drainage and the itching. I wish I would have used this once they appeared on my butt. Ugh!. Anyone need some pickle ball sweat bands… read more

Fairly New To This Horrible Thing Called HS.
A myHSteam Member asked a question 💭

Hi all, I am new here and wanted to get opinions from people taking Doxycycline Hyclate 100mg daily for long term control of your HS. I am concerned about the long term use of it on my gut and all that it does & destroys within the stomach and elsewhere in the body. I was taking it daily for 6 months and it kept my flares to maybe 1 or 2 during that time. I stopped taking it about 4 or 5 months ago and all was good with HS flares. Now in the last 3 weeks or so I have had 2 flares so far.

Also… read more
