i had absis in my groin thats not gone away with antibiotics an tunneled round my groin area an bum and ive been told its hs its been like an on goin infection for me just tunneling to new places last few years an constatly weepin where it breaks skin an makes hole but theres no smell an no flareups

I have been doing research on a more permanent solution for my HS and found articles saying that the flare-ups stop after you go through menopause. I am going to ask my doctor about getting a hysterectomy for this reason as I am almost 40 and do not want children. I am wondering if anyone else has had success with this? I tried hormonal birth control and it has been a nightmare. Almost a constant period and repeat flare-ups that I did not have before trying the birth control.

Have you noticed any differences when taking them or missing a dose?

Hi all,
I just got diagnosed but have suspected I have hs for a while. My problem area is my groin. I've picked at any bumps that occur which means I have some open wounds. I don't have the Typical puss, but just lots of red angry skin that's open. Lots of blood/fluid initially came out but is stable now. I'm on oral minocycline and clindamycin ointment. This one area just won't freaking heal, and it's right on the underwear line. Any tips?
