Amjevita has been helping me. I'm stage 3 and the combination of Amjevita and spironolactone has been lessening the flare ups.

I took the biosimilar of Humira which is Amgevita for 5 months, absolutely terrible side effects and zero improvement. Never again.

Humira is done under a immune process in a laboratory 🧫 but the problem is with that one ☝️ is it doesn’t take into account of any other health issues you might have
It’s taken by injection form once a month some people see some very good results from it but it can also have the reverse effect and make it come back with a revengance
Personally I have been offered it but I would not touch it with a six 6️⃣ foot 🦶 parge pole
Ask Trina Howard on my team what it done to her and it wasn’t good either

It sounds like you're asking about how Humira (adalimumab) helps with HS symptoms! Humira is a biologic medication that was FDA-approved to treat moderate to severe HS. It works by targeting and blocking a protein in the body called TNF-alpha, which plays a key role in driving inflammation — the root cause of many HS symptoms like painful lumps, abscesses, and tunnels under the skin.
By reducing inflammation, Humira can help:
- Decrease the number of flare-ups
- Reduce the severity of lesions
- Lessen pain and swelling
- Improve overall quality of life If Humira isn't the right fit, there are other FDA-approved biologics and treatments available for HS, including:
- Secukinumab (Cosentyx) — targets a different inflammatory pathway
- Bimekizumab-bkzx (Bimzelx) — another biologic option
- Biosimilars — more affordable versions of Humira that work the same way
It's worth having a conversation with your dermatologist or healthcare provider to figure out which treatment option best fits your specific situation and severity level.
