I have had HS for 34 LONG years (diagnosed for 21). I really want a community that can get together and discuss our lives with HS. It would be great to learn tips/tricks and new medications on the rise.

34 years is a long journey, and wanting to connect with others who truly *get it* makes complete sense. There are some great organizations that host HS-specific events and can point you in the right direction.

34 years is a long journey, and wanting to connect with others who truly *get it* makes complete sense. There are some great organizations that host HS-specific events and can point you in the right direction.

Here are two worth reaching out to:

- HS Foundation — hosts walks, runs, fundraisers, and awareness events. They can help you find events in your area or even guide you on starting your own local gathering
- Hope for HS — another organization dedicated to the HS community that organizes events and activities

Both organizations are also great resources for staying up to date on new research and emerging treatments. In-person support groups can also be incredibly powerful. Seeing someone else living and functioning well with HS can bring real hope — and sharing tips, experiences, and treatment journeys with people who truly understand is something many find life-changing.

It's worth checking both organizations' websites and social media pages regularly, as events are often announced there first.
