Hello, I have been diagnosed with lymphedema for about four years now. I have it in my legs and thighs. I was diagnosed with HS about a year ago, and I have it on only my right thigh, which is the same place where my lymphedema is the worst. My question is, how do I manage the HS when every time I have a boil, I'm also weeping lymph fluid, and it's hard to make it stop? I hope that you'll be able to find a decent doctor soon, Stephanie. Once I found mine, she referred me to PT for my Lymphedema, where I was able to get my compression device paid through my health insurance (Sigvaris also has been kind enough to donate Compression wraps for my legs & feet). After a few months, the weeping stopped, & half of the "alligator scales" on my lower legs and feet have now healed up, due to the swelling in my legs & feet slowly going down. After I went through menopause, my HS flare-ups decreased immensely (one of the few benefits of "going through the change"). Before that, I'd get flare-ups in several places on my body and the extremely painful flare-ups always happened 1-2 days before my periods. I was able to deal with this pain, since I was taking Lyrica & Norco for my knees, shoulders and neck. Two years ago, my last severe flare-up landed me in the hospital for five days & surgery was done to avoid having another severe flare-up. Since then, I've only had a few minor flare-ups.
