Been diagnosed for 21/2 years, I have many “spots” one in which I have had lanced and opened up many times on my inner thigh, it’s very inflamed right now, and I can see 4 heads under the surface of the skin, I don’t want to go through getting it opened and then having to pack it, I’m so tired and just wish they would stop coming back.

I get absolutely exhausted, impossible to get enough sleep. I can tell a flare is coming because I’m tired all day.

Between the exhaustion and extreme pain, it’s very difficult to keep my cool at work. Making sure I’m nice to everyone takes more energy and I get even more tired. Once I get to the weekend, I can sleep 18-20 hours/day during a flare.

HS flares can be incredibly painful and exhausting to deal with. The intense pain and inflammation during flares can absolutely cause feelings of nausea and overall sickness. The cycle of recurring flares in the same spots, like what you're experiencing on your inner thigh, is a common and frustrating aspect of living with HS.

Many people with HS describe the pain during flares as severe - like "having fire inside a bubble trapped under your skin" or "a hot knife cutting your flesh." It's completely understandable to feel worn down, especially when dealing with multiple spots that keep returning. The early signs of a flare often include itching and tingling sensations, followed by increased swelling and inflammation. The lesions can grow significantly in size and become extremely painful, sometimes making it difficult to move or carry out daily activities. While treatment options are available, it's important to work with your healthcare provider to find the most effective approach for managing your specific symptoms and preventing recurrence.
