Depends on where you’re affected by HS, but for me I have lots of abdominal gauze pads (5x9) and a boatload of foam underwrap (it’s like a disposable lite foam ace bandage. It’s used as a skin break so the wrap for an injury doesn’t contact the skin directly and cause a rash).
Pretty much like keeping a gunshot wound wrapped. I understand some places are almost impossible to wrap. There is a company called HidraWear that makes undergarments to hold pads in difficult places for HS sufferers.
IMO it is worth it to invest in everything you need to mitigate the fallout when HS gets active. I spent more money than I was comfortable with, but it’s really improved my quality of life.
Best of luck!
It's really hard to wear light colors. I would usually layer my clothes with a dark grey or black tee or biker shorts. Eventually I just stop buying light colors. Hope this helps.
Thank you so much!😊
Thanksss Yall 😊.I wear black all the time,,,,I'll try the extra bandages.
I don’t wear a lot of light colors, however I do a lot of patterns or dark colors. I also may wear extra bandages if it’s a specific outfit. You may also have to change the dressing/adhesives more frequently. Hope this helps!
