My insurance refused to pay for it because I didn't try Humira first. But my dr. didn't want me on Humira because of my liver issues. Dr. gave me samples. I'm 5 weeks in and only slightly better. He also said there should be a new drug approved in Sept, just going through final testing/approval. It's one that is already approved for psoriasis, but I don't know which one. He also indicated that this new one should be VERY GOOD for HS.

SAME. My insurance denied me twice because they said I had no medical need for trying it since I hadn't tried Humira first. However, my Dr. won't subscribe Humira because I have liver issues. I got lucky and he gave me 5 starter samples and told me to request 6 more when I'm out. However, I haven't seen any positive results yet (at 4 weeks into treatment). I'm hopeful, but still in so much pain.

My dermatologist recommended it when I was diagnosed. I haven't tried it yet. Best of luck!
