Why Is My Hs Constantly Leaking?

A myHSteam Member asked a question 💭

I thought it would just empty and heal, but it's constantly releasing pus or blood.

Yes. And you have to remember it's not always infected puss. It's just the white blood cells that are gathering there and it continues to leak. It's the secondary infections that you need to be on top of.

Ugh, I'm sorry. I had one that was open for a little over a year before it finally closed up and stayed that way. Unfortunately it's pretty normal for this disease.

Yeah, they do that. I've had some that will empty and then refill several times before finally healing up. It sucks!
