Richard.....all the Dr's that give us false information and the wrong ways to treat HS are getting their information and suggestions on how to fix HS from science. It would be nice if they would do more research, and they need trials on HS people, not just guesswork. I told my family Dr I am in remission because of diet, and he looked up his information, and says "I don't see anything about diet on here"......but I'm doing it and it works, and I have a couple other friends on here that tried it ......and it works......both keto and AID. Although it will not work on everyone, because we all react differently! We really need more research to help everyone! Bottom line is I don't really care what science says, I don't totally believe their information......if I have found something that works to put me in remission, I am happy!

I gave up carbs and gluten for 3 months and saw a noticeable difference in my HS. The minute I broke my diet my HS returned with a vengence. I totally agree with you about diet being key!

Yes Johathan.....there are a few of us on here that have tried diet and it seems to work. I found out by accident, I wanted to lose weight. So you have to know that the same things don't seem to work for all of us the same. Keto can be tough at first, it's no sugar, no carbs (potatoes, pasta, rices and breads). I was brought up by eating them every meal. I don't miss them now. When there is special occasion meals, I pig out....I do still love carbs and sweets, but I can live without them most of the time. I have no HS right now. My HS has always been in my groin, and I have 2 spots that constantly leak. One has previously dried up, but then Christmas happened, and I ate sweets and everything....not just the dinner, but the baking etc over the holidays. I've had HS over 40 yrs, and tried alot of different meds, creams, washes and minor surgeries and haven't found anything that works consistently. I hope you will try. Google has a ton of info. I first printed off a list of what I can have and what I can't. Mostly you eat meat and veggies, also dairy....there are alot of fats you can have, so I find it to be an easy diet. Please ask me any questions! I will help if I can! Hugs

Hey Jenni.......It's true, unfortunately doesn't work for all of us, but there are a few that have had the nerve to give up carbs.....it's hard at first. I was brought up to eat carbs at every meal......So now mostly meat and veggies. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE having no HS, I have suffered with it for over 40 yrs........I would hope as many would try the diet as possible.....I know if I had heard about it alot sooner, I would have alot less scars, and would have laughed alot more I'm sure.
