I've noticed my hair has been getting thinner and thinner and I shed as bad as the dogs do LOL

Hi Elizza, I'm not taking any kind of medication at all at the moment, would you mind asking your dermatologist if HS causes hair loss without being on any kind of medication and let me know what they say? It would be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance

Hello since one year ago I noticed that Iā€™m losing hair every time that I brushed. I will ask my dermatologist if the corticosteroids is causing it.

Hi mike, thank you for your response and for the information, I've never thought about taking hair vitamins before but might give it a try and hope your granddaughter is doing good with her HS. I wasn't sure if my hair loss was because of the HS are something else that I'm unaware of, just seems like I'm losing a ton of hair everyday and it's getting to the point where I'm actually thinking about shaving it all off and wearing a wig just so I don't have to deal with all the hair everywhere

Interesting question. I am the grandfather of an 18 yr old girl with Downs and H.S.
She likes hair bands, and fiddles with them a lot, adjusting this way and that.
She was loosing hair around the area that she was placing them.
Finally her mother took them from her. She will sometimes wear a hat, fiddling with the hat a little. But substantially less, and her hair is much better, although not to what I would call normal.
So I think that there may be something to your question.

Also, H.S. attacks hair follicles!
There are hair vitamins available, and seams to help a lot.
