The Smell Lol…something That’s Actually Working!
A myHSteam Member asked a question 💭

Hello everyone! We know HS smells lol. I’ve found you are what you eat! Going plant base has helped tremendously with my smell, but recently I couldn’t shake the pungent smell. My friend told me about chlorophyll internal deodorizer and it works! I took it last night and this morning and I don’t smell lol! Maybe should try it? Got it from vitamin shop and it’s on Amazon too!

Sodapop, I used to smell like a funky sweaty shirt. It made me nauseous. I started using Dial Gold. But, I washed the area with Hibiclens and followed up with the Dial Gold. I have no odor. You can also splash the area with some Witch Hazel. 😃

Patricia God bless you. I started having it when I was 11. My sister has it too. When she moved to Germany hers got better. We know it was the food. Even in Abu Dhabi hers is fine and so was mine when I lived there. When she comes home and eats here she flares. I’ve gotten the worse of it with stage 3 everywhere. My Dr Barry Resnik is really great. He can help come up with a treatment plan. He does virtual as well. Most of his patients are out of state and the country! I know it may be hard for your son, but see if he can try eliminate cows dairy and nightshade vegetables. If he is a French fry eater, he can try to eat yucca root which has that consistency and they sell it in the frozen section in Whole Foods. I have used it in my vegan clam chowder. Also going plant base has helped a lot too. The most effective quality of life has been the CO2 laser surgery for me. I have a few more to go but worth it.

This link has a list of docs on here. My doc is on here on Resnik Skin Institute. You can find information on other doctors too that may be close to you all or might also do virtual as well.

Hope this helps and reach out anytime!
Also when I get a boil coming up doxycycline has been the most effective. Also doing warm compresses. I will share some stuff I’ve done in the question section. God bless you and keep the faith!

You’re welcome! Omg girl! I couldn’t stand my smell lol nothing I did was helping. It’s like $13 at Vitamin Shoppe. I did two tablespoons in full glass of water. They do have one with mint in it and that’s the one I got.

Sodapop, you are a secret angel! I'm visiting with my son who is suffering with stage III HS. It's very bad. My brother and sister both have it as well as myself. My son has has a tremendous amount of tracking and much odor from the pus and breakdown of tissue. I feel bad for him because he is young and we know how that is. Well be blessed and I'm very glad to meet you.
