How Fast Does A Flare Come On After You’re Exposed To A Trigger?
A myHSteam Member asked a question 💭

I’ve seen a lot of posts talking about how they realized certain things were triggers (sugar, dairy, gluten, etc.) for their hs. If this is true for you, how fast after being exposed to your trigger do you develop nodules? Hours? Days? Lmk! Thanks! ☺️

For me within hours I get the tingling feeling and then it's just a matter of time but usually a couple days later I really know about it 😄

Hi Inna. I only get flares caused by my emotions. If I get angry, I can look for a flare in 2-3 days.

It depends on the type of food. If I eat a white potato/French fry i automatically start to feel the burn/pain in my open wound areas. With dairy, within an hour I feel the pain. If something else, within 24hours. Then the pain will last for several days and I take an antibiotic hoping it will help. So I just avoid at all costs these foods. No cow dairy, no nightshades, just vegetables lol

The time 🕰️ to worry in my case is when your stomach starts playing up and you will feel it and you will get a feeling of burning 🔥 and stinging sensation and then you are doomed it can break out in the matter of 15-20 minutes you have to be very careful with your blood 🩸 sugar levels and keep them within range it’s very important and very dangerous if they get to high and it’s when they don’t come back down it will cause you very serious problems
Just a bit of advice for you sugar is very dangerous stuff keep well away from it keto and plant based foods and a very strict diet no chocolate 🍫 and the list goes on and on 😁
Mine 👇👇 95 % in range

Hi Inna... if I eat the wrong thing. I get like a little irritation under my armor area & about a day or two it starts.
