How Do You Guys Handle The Stress?
A myHSteam Member asked a question 💭

Sometimes I feel so angry at everything I’m always stressed on when my next flare up is gonna happen the whole no cure thing on top of my already stressful life . What do you guys do if you ever feel like this?

If I'm annoyed/angry and I'm at home healing from a procedure or limited in movement from a new flare up - video games, take out all my frustration on some unknowing NPC.
If I am mobile at the time, my other half and I go for walks in the woods, power hour at the gym, or karaoke, an evening with friends - whatever can stimulate the 'feel-goods' to free me from the mental slump. Find your small joys and make use of them!

You can't think about when your next flare is coming. By doing that, you are bringing your flare on sooner than later. You have no control over what your internal body is doing. Remember, no one knows what causes HS and the cure is unknown so far. When you feel yourself getting angry, stressed, take deep breaths, listen at some music, dance, sing. Think about why you are angry, sad, stressed and come up with the solution to fix the problem. The problem is not worth the pain. Take it easy Sweetie 😀
