I have had to go to and receive care from pain management clinics it's been hard to find the right one who believes in HS and understand how painful this disease is but unfortunately in my case my pain is so unbearable that I have to take Norco and or now they put me on morphine sulfate extended release every 12 hours those are narcotic pain medications but it's the only thing I've been able to do to control the pain as I have had so many surgeries I have so much scar tissue the pain alone from this scar tissue sucks and I still have brand new breakouts or flare-ups all the time I know narcotic pain medication can be scary but if done appropriately and prescribed decently it can really help give a quality of life.

Besides Ibuprofen or any anti inflammatory drug , warm compresses and avoiding applying unwanted pressure I know it can be damn near impossible if you have it in your groin or backside and if that is the case go to the hospital immediately do not wait for it to get worse trust me it will feel like a knife stabbing pain- in short I recommend ibuprofen stemming from 400mg-800mg ,warm compresses and or topical antibiotic pain relievers *warning from my experience it can just make your abscess or open wound angrier- please get back to me if you do, stay safe and healthy you are loved.
