I have had over a dozen groin surgeries to correct the tunneling from HS. The recovery was long and painful. I'm diabetic, so that added to my healing time.
Honestly, if I were in that same situation, I would have the surgery. FWIW

👋 there yes 🙌 I have had surgery on my groin area not so long ago and it was not painful or anything to be honest with you and I have had no problems since with it so far so good 😊 so I would recommend it mine was done properly different to the way you might have yours done so that is the bit you really want to find out because mine was left open to heal and it is the way that it was done here in the uk 🇬🇧 and I recommend that way myself because it will push out any sort of left over infection if there is any left because when it heals up the new skin will push out any sort or any kind of left over infection out at the same time and it will drain out any sort of fluids as well that’s just my experience with it 😊 hope that helps you out and i could walk to without any problems after it was just a bit sore for a while but it soon went away 😊

I had surgery on my groin wasn’t bad, but everyone is different recovery time wasn’t bad it doesn’t solve it all but the pain of surgery is way better. I’m sorry way less than of the disease.

Groin surgery and I didn’t feel it either and I could walk and everything no pain or no pain relief I didn’t need it but as you can see I had mine left open that was my personal choice and it was a good decision as well because I have had no problems since 😁
That was a big track that they removed there 🤔
