How Has Pregnancy Effected Your HS?
A myHSteam Member asked a question 💭

I'm not currently pregnant (hopefully), i'm just curious. I know stress, depression and many other things can effect HS.

My GP did say it could be hormonal for me which would imply as I am in my 40’s it could be menopause.

I’ve had two children and I did not suffer in pregnancy.

I was bad when I had my son 38 yrs ago......I had no idea what I had, but remember crying at the Dr thinking my baby would be covered in these leaking lumps! My HS is not rules by hormones though.

Well I definitely know mine is hormonal 😯 I got one LG one on my face with both pregnancies; 31 years ago and almost 27 years ago. But nothing elsewhere until after giving birth. My daughters HS stopped during both of hers as well, after giving birth, it came in like a wrecking ball. Poor thing, she's a strong lady tho, she took care of those infants eith oainfuls HS. She would pop them herself or go to ER to get relief so she could take better care of them babies. (They are 9 and 3) and I posted them on my profile just a few min ago. One of them is staying the night lol anyways. She had hers C section, I had mine vaginal. I'm going through menopause now, and it's like a wrecking ball too. If I'm supposed to have a period, like right now, I flare for a couple days then gone within a week. If I have an actual period. Like in April, it's horrible, before, during and after for almost the entire month. Smh. Ready to finish menopause. Been dealing with HS for 41 years girl, ladies.
