Any Have Problems With Candida Or Blood Sugar?
A myHSteam Member asked a question 💭

Im trying to figure out "what" is causing my mast cells to be triggered & keeping this inflammatory nightmare going. I dont smoke, not obese but i DO have chronic pancreatitis. I read that insulin resistancy can play into HS. Ive also had a problem with candida which keeps mast cells inflaming everything. So im curious 'if' my long time gimpy pancreas has caused a blood sugar problem thats causing candida and HS?

A myHSteam Member

Thanks. I think the blood sugar is causing the candida. Which in turn keeps my mast cells triggered and causing constant inflammation. I want sure if anybody on here has candida issues as well?

What Did You Have To Do To Get Your Diagnosis?
A myHSteam Member asked a question 💭

Hi so I’ve just started my journey into finding out if I do indeed suffer from HS. I’ve been suffering for around 20 years but I’ve never looked into an any diagnosis because I thought that was just me. I’ve recently had a pilonidal cyst removed and I’m on a round of antibiotics as my stitches have become infected :(
My doctor has also prescribed me a low dose antibiotic to take for 3 months, a wash and nasal cream to be used for 5 days before they consider referring me to a dermatologist. Did… read more

My mother use to call these fat bumps, boy was she wrong. After having back surgery, I discovered that my pancreas was nicked and I became a type 1 diabetic. There are times when my blood sugar drops and I will be sweating, I have woken up numerous times overheated and sweaty. How do I get help with this? Any suggestions? Help...Tunnel/ Hole
A myHSteam Member asked a question 💭

I had a bad flare a while back and it ended up bursting then leaking for a few days, I am not left with a hole that doesn't seem to be healing.

I have been using NanoSalv wound treatment in it which has helped close tunnels before but does not seem to be doing much on this. Can anyone give me suggestions on how to get it to close?

A myHSteam Member

It sounds like you're referring to tunnels associated with hidradenitis suppurativa (HS). These tunnels, also known as sinus tracts, are hollow connections that typically form between infected HS… read more
