Yes, you are right Baz. I took birth control pills for many years. Of course, I had a hysterectomy at age 47. Even after that they put me on Vivelle estrogen patches for 2 years. I have been to a lot of doctors. One dermatologist in Ft. Worth, TX told me that in HS women, they produce too much testosterone (male hormone). So, makes some sense. However, he also told me it would go away after menopause and I had a hysterectomy and am now 57 and has not gone away. So, they obviously don't have it figured out.

According to some information I have found somewhere I have got it on the phone that birth control pills are meant to be good for hs it’s actually worse for you females who stop taking them and then your hs get worse if you read the information on this site 👍
