Linda748 yes, it definitely helped calm it down so it would start healing.
Has anyone tried laser hair removal?
SammyBee, did it make the lesion you already had once the follicle was zapped go away too?
Thanks for that honest answer SammyBee. Will ask dermatologist to zap the one hair and murder mine if it threatened me again. I have it cornered at the moment after a battle of tea compresses, herbs, benadryl gel and now Preparation H twice a day. It is calming down and didn’t hurt me all day. I went and bought a pack of very soft 100% cotton men’s undershirts to cut up into long wide strips and use a small padding of it in underwear so nothing in my clothes roughens it up or irritates it with friction. Plain t-shirt sewing material would have been cheaper but no fabric stores near me so this was quick to do. The dermatologist antibiotics and hibeclens set me back. Was allergic to hibeclens.
Laser hair removal is great since it causes necrosis of the hair follicle. It doesn’t hurt when done correctly, kind of like an elastic snap. Slightly more painful over a lesion but tolerable. Definitely less flair ups where I have had the treatments.
Highly recommend finding a place that uses a cooling hand piece.
Love my laser!
