Pylon spinal abcsess. Yes had that op five times. It's deeply unpleasant! My best advise is wash your hair separately, not when you in a shower. Dirty soapy water running down your back is best avoided imo.

I had a really deep one recently in my buttock/perianal area, for which I had to have incision and drainage surgery. It's taking months to heal so I can sympathise :(
