I have had a 'cyst' for a over a year. It does not drain unless I squeeze it and it is mostly blood. It normally doesn't get inflamed but if it does, it is not major. It only hurts if I try to squeeze it. My derm says it's HS. I'd like to take my chances and have someone lance it. When it first presented, I thought it was an ingrown hair from waxing. I was recently diagnosed last year but realize I have had flare ups for a few years. We just always thought they were ingrown hairs in my groin/pantyline. Currently in the midst of one and I’m miserable. I’m lucky b/c mine aren’t that bad, but I’m terrified of what they could become.

The time between tests and professionals walking was 9 years for 3 examinations, and a photo session for the medical community magazine!

I was diagnosed w HS a year ago and pcos about a 6 years ago and I’ve doing a lot of research.
I tried using tea tree oil and it helps somewhat but lately I’ve been having flares more often.
I’m currently taking metformin and ibuprofen for pain along w a topical cream for antibiotics and quit smoking weed because I read it exacerbates flares.
Wondering if maybe laser hair removal could help diminish the frequency of flares.
Has anyone else had it done and did it improve your condition?🤔
