And I regularly shave most of my body hair to keep the hair follicles as tightly closed as possible to prevent flare-ups.
I seen the surgeon yesterday. He referred me to derm. But in the meantime he started me on daily doxycycline . I've taken it in past but just a the usual short dose. Not sure when Derm will be because the referral just got sent yesterday.
I took it for about 6 months....3 times a day. Gave me diarrhea and did not help my HS at all. Doctor wanted me to keep taking it but I declined...after about a year, he started me on some other meds
I've seen where people have recommended and sworn by organic cold compressed castor oil. Others have recommended manuka honey.
No prescriptions oral or topical just natural products and diet.
