Dairy and sugar are both HUGE triggers for me. Also, caffeine.

I've noticed I have more of a flare up with dairy products. (not sure if that's an actual thing but have definitely noticed a difference with myself.)

Hi Sue, I find that dairy, sweets, yeast and nightshades make my HS really bad. If I ever have them the damage is irreparable and I end up having to go through surgery to drain it. I stay away from alcohol as much as possible because it throws off my body’s balance. I hope this helps ❤️

I'm into researching and trying different things to see what works for me. So far, a heart healthy diet helps with HS. I only drink water, nothing else. My flares have been mild and manageable for the last 3 months which has been a huge relief!

Dairy is the worst!!! Sugar definitely contributes.
