Not sure I've ever seen or heard of silicone tape. I bandage all the time but sometimes on days off I have to take a break and just go with a panty liner.....I only have HS in my groin.

Boils On Face.

A myHSteam Member asked a question 💭
Dorset United Kingdom

Does anyone else suffer with boils on their face?
I get flare ups often, they are really angry and cause my face to swell really bad.
I’ve had 3 in a row last few months.
Not been properly diagnosed but, was offered surgery a long time ago on my groin area. Refused as it was so invasive.
My mum also has this condition.
Is it worth going back to doctors? Referral time in the UK can take ages to see a dermatologist.
Help and advice would be much appreciated. ❤️

Don't touch it. Do deep breathing. Try a 3 day water fast with alkaline water and key vitamins. Take cold showers only. The only thing you should put in hot water is your hands. The breathing and hot… read more

Does Anyone Suffer With Boils, Hard Lumps, Spots On Their Inside Lady Parts ?

A myHSteam Member asked a question 💭
Chester, UK

I currently have a lump the size of a grape on the inner part of my lady parts plus two other spots/ poppable breakouts. I know that the large one will not pop it will just come back again. It had been throbbing now for 4 days . I have suffered all my adult life with these ruptures in this area, I just wondered if anyone else does? I take an anti biotic every day but it seems to have stopped working. I can have between 1-5 at once inside and out . They are absolutely killing !

Does Anyone Have Boils Fill Up With Blood Rather Than Pus?

A myHSteam Member asked a question 💭

I am finding a repeating pattern of having boils that go large and firm with pus and then go down and fill with blood. They don't ever burst but the skin is very thin and very painful. I'm also experiencing very large oval shaped boils which feel deep under the skin but never seem to surface. I just wondered if others experience anything like this?

A myHSteam Member

Yes, many people with hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) report that their boils fill up with blood rather than pus. Here are some key points:

- Variability in Lesions: HS lesions can vary greatly. Some… read more

Hole In Armpit

A myHSteam Member asked a question 💭
Vancouver, BC

I've been trying to treat the lumps in my armpit which I know is next to nearly impossible. The flare up finally went down.. and one of the boils had popped. But, there's a small open hole that won't close and it leaks. I keep it clean, re-apply the cream I was prescribed, and bandage it back up and it still won't heal/close. Has anyone experienced this? If so, what worked for you?

A myHSteam Member

I have some website links posted on my profile for a very small hole concerning black tea compresses. It shrunk it a whole lot and that helped the pain and kept infection out but it still wants to… read more

Dr. Kimball mentioned Hormonal Treatment for HS instead of Antibiotics. Would Hormonal Treatments be recommended for older ladies or for men?

A myHSteam Member

I'm on hormones. My doctor said because of menopause without the hormones my HS would get worse
