Reading numerous online articles about the connection between diet, hormones, herbal therapy, natural supplements, and how these affect autoimmune disorders like HS has helped a great deal. What I learned lead me to removing processed/refined sugars from my diet and adding one capsule of oregano oil daily. Since making these changes a few years ago the HS on my lower half is 99% gone ☺️. Rarely, when I menstruate I may have one small mosquito bite size swelling that goes away it's own when I'm done menstruating.

On my upper half, I had the HS skin excised when I had a mastopexy, and that took care of that area completely.

Educating myself about the root causes and experimenting with different natural dietary and herbal remedies did the trick for me. These also eliminated the chronic YIs I was getting. I hope someone else can benefit from this as well.

It has given me confidence knowing others have it. It has also given me confidence to speak about it to others. My friend of 45 years had no idea.
