Metformin has had no effect on my hs symptoms and ive been on it for a year. Its helping my type 2 diabetes but yeah, not so much with the hs issues. What has helped is low dose naltrexone from a compounding pharmacy and an elimination diet in which i discovered that nightshades (tomatoes, potatoes, all kinds of peppers, eggplant and kiwi fruit) were a major trigger for hs symptoms for me. Cutting down on sugar has also helped somewhat. 🙂
