Has Anyone Else Had Problems Finding A Doctor To Listen To You So You Can Get A Diagnosis?

They all think they are clogged glands and things of that sort and when I tell them about my own research, they are almost immediately interested. I tell them that I have tried all of their conventional generic ointments they've prescribed. This site particularly has helped me more in leaps and bound than any doctors appointment.

Yep, the struggle is real. Most doctors I went to assumed I still had MRSA (antibiotic resistant staph infection) because I contracted it in high school. Took years of research and fighting with doctors before I went to a naturopath and that helped a lot because she introduced the elimination diet and low dose naltrexone. Both have significantly helped my symptoms. Things arent perfect but I'm doing better than I was several years ago.

I feel the exact same way. I have been going through this for over 8 years and not one doctor will listen to me. If they find out I suffer from anxiety and depression it is almost a given that they will not believe any other physical symptom other than indicating it must be related to my mental health. This happened to me for many years while suffering with a bad back. It was not until I was unable to walk and if I did get up I would fall down thar a doctor finally listened and I ended up being diagnosed with spondyloarthritis and had a major spinal fusion. This was 6 years of hell. Now I am going through the same battle and the crazy thing is spondyloarthritis from my understanding is very common with HS
