I have a HS specialist at Mayo Clinic in FL. You might be able to have a video visit with her. She gave me steroid shots in the actual bumps this morning around 8am now it 2:19am and there’s a few bumps/lumps that didn’t get the injections and they hurt.
My GP gave me tramadol in the past for my pain. I was so excited to be seen by here I forgot to ask, but I send a request on the patient portal.

You're going to go way out of the way to find pain management and a specialist that understands. You don't just have HS, I was told by my rheumatologist that HS is besties with RA.

My doctor had a compound made for me….it has steroids in it to bring down swelling and a numbing agent that takes the pain away INSTANTLY. Totally smells earthy but I haven’t felt this good in a while. It was a pricey little tube but worth it!

Good luck with a good dermatologist. I took HUMIRA for 2 years and when I got off it due to
COVID, my dr near had a fit. So did I, at her. She insisted that my impaired immunity didn’t expose me to any greater risk.

As far as pain management goes, these people (insert gratuitous kindness here) are so concerned about irradicating a problem they basically created themselves that 1,000s of people that really need pain meds walk away in burning pain. Pain Management clinics are nothing but cattle calls. Took my mom to plenty of visits to realize that.
