Does Having The Tract Surgically Removed Actually Make Them Go Away?
A myHSteam Member asked a question 💭

I just had a tract removed a week ago after battling with a large one in my right thigh groin area for 2 years. I realize they can occur in other places and I clean myself more than religiously. Do they come back in the same spot after the spot has been removed?

I had the wide excision done under my right arm with a VAC bag done 3 years ago. Nothing has come back. My left armpit is still horrible so I'm thinking about getting it done there also. No new spots as of yet

They can always come back. Your diet can mess with the Hormones that cause HS flares

Not that I'm aware of. I've tried almost everything. I plan on losing weight tho I'm a healthy weight and becoming more active and develop a balance diet once I am mobile again.

Chamomile tea helps with swelling. Make some tea before bed, finish the cup and put the warm tea bags on it for about 20 minutes. This helps sometimes i have found.
